Haiz..today late for attachment!!Cause i today learn to bun up my hair...then spent alot of my time....our attachment start at 1.30pm.i should have meet friends 1pm at novena mrt de,but end up i reach at the ward at 1.35pm...they also late,cause they actually waited for me...i'm so touched,but also very gulity...luckily my staff nurse,Fem excused us,cause first day in ward...but actually shouldn't be late de...but anyway,still need to thank God and my friends!!=D
Fem started to talk to us about the different areas and things we should know in the ward...very long till 3something like that,then brought us to tour around the ward...alot of things to take note,like where is the bedpan,clean room,dirty room etc...haiz...remember until brain want to burst le...
Finally we able to go to our distributed cubicle to start our learning with patients and nurses...i was distributed to cubicle 1,i went in to see my patients,6 females elderly...very very old de...but they very cute and friendly lo...
But alot speak dialect like Hokkien,then difficult for me to communicate with them...
i at first don't know what to do,cause no staff nurse to guide and teach me...then wandering around,to see what other wards were doing,then also learn from them....but later at 5something like that,my ward nurse then start to teach me...how to use the machine to take parameter(BP,pulse,oxygen saturation)...after that my break at 6pm,went to eat at the foodcourt...i ate korean cuisine,cost me $4.50...but taste nice lah,think is because i too hungry,cause never eat lunch=D
When came back to ward at 7pm,start to learn thing from the nurses and ite student nurse,like learn to change diaper,bedsheet for patient,take patient to toilet with wheelchair etc...of course also got slack,cause sometime really got nothing to do...end shift at 9.30pm and went home...Today is a tiring day,but a new and learning experience for me=)
i now going to watch 1 litre of tear,episode 3... borrow from my friend,Li En de
Continue to update tmr...also afternoon shift,1pm-9pm...cannot be late again le!!!
